IAC Judge Examinations

Which Judge Exam to Take?

Already a certified IAC judge? Certified judges must take the Revalidation and Currency (R&C) Exam annually as one of the requirements to be added to the IAC Official List of Judges (see 2.6.3 of the IAC Official Contest Rules).


IAC Regional Judges are certified to judge flights at all IAC sanctioned regional contests. Not a Regional Judge? Want to become one? One of the requirements is to pass the Regional Judge Exam, usually after attending a Judging Seminar (see 2.6.1 of the IAC Official Contest Rules).


Certified IAC National Judges are needed to judge flights at IAC sanctioned national contests (i.e. U.S. National Aerobatic Championships), as well as chief judge at IAC sanctioned regional contests. Not a National Judge? Want to become one? One of the requirements is to pass the National Judge Exam (see 2.6.2 of the IAC Official Contest Rules).
