Instructions - Application for Sanction

Sanction and Insurance Application Form | Chapter Incorporation Document

To obtain an IAC Contest Sanction, there are several important steps that must be completed before sanction will be granted:

    • Complete the Sanction and Insurance Application Form.
    • Make certain your chapter has completed the current year’s Chapter Status Report and paid the chapter insurance with the EAA Chapter Office. Check with Troy Toelle of the EAA Chapter office at 920/426-4876 or ttoelle@eaa.org if you are unsure.
    • Complete the Chapter Incorporation Document that provides proof of your chapter’s CURRENT incorporation for the state in which your chapter resides. Should there be an incident at a contest, it is critical that your chapter’s corporate status is current so that both your chapter and the IAC are protected.
    • Any supplementary rules or waiver of rules must be approved by the IAC Sanction Committee and signed by the IAC President. Send any such requests to IAC Headquarters for approval.
    • If there is to be prize money for your contest, you must send IAC proof that the prize money is in an escrow account in your bank.
    • Send in a check for the sanction fee. The fee is required to receive official sanction of your contest and to receive the Contest Director’s Packet for running your competition.
    • Send in a check for the insurance fee. The IAC provides $2 million liability insurance coverage to Chapters hosting IAC-sanctioned competitions.
